The Christmas 2012 Blog will be starting soon. Check back later. Christmas 2012 is going to be bigger and better.
This is the last post for the Christmas 2011 Blog. It's been a great year and one that will soon be a memory to each of us as we wish in 2012 in the next few hours. This past year has been a good one, and a learning one at the same time. I'm already thinking about the display for next year and in the process of putting my light order together. Doing an animated display is a 365 day a year hobby. Its fun, but it's also addictive. Happy New Year everyone, and those traveling tonight, safe travels.

Hard to believe that another Christmas has come and will be gone in no time. Santa arrives tonight and kids around the world will be excited to see what Santa's brought. At 7:42 a.m. this morning Santa was spotted in Blacktown, Australia delivering gifts. Remember you can always track Santa on Christmas Eve at http://www.noradsanta.org. His next stop is Canberra, Australia. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Santa brings them all they wish for.
The lights will be on until midnight Christmas Eve welcoming Santa's arrival. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a safe holiday weekend. Merry Christmas!
The lights are off tonight December 20th due to the rain. The lights should be back on tomorrow night December 21st.
Whether the lights will be on Tuesday 12/20 will depend a lot on the rain coming in.
Christmas is just a few days away. I hope everyone has gotten most, if not all of their Christmas shopping done. As I write one of the last post for this year, I hope everyone has enjoyed the lights. Its been fun and exciting along with wondering at the beginning if I was going to make the deadline for the display to come on Thanksgiving Day night, but with a little Christmas Magic, it all fell into place. Neighbors, friends and people that I have never met stopping, when I'm out, just to say how much they enjoy the lights make all the hard work and time put into it worthwhile. But only a few more days and the lights will be off for another year. I'm already planning the light display for next year, and should have somewhere between 20,000 to 25,000 lights maybe more. I Due to all the rain expected today and tonight. The lights will be off until Friday night December 16th.
I don't run the lights because of all the electricity. There are over 6,500 feet of extension cords in the yard, and even though all the outlets are the GFCI, I don't want them tripping all the time. Some of the stuff costs a lot of money to have the rain short it out. The dogs like it so far. They really haven't had any problems with anything and they leave it all alone. If the rain holds off and its only drizzle today, the lights will be on tonight.
Due to the heavy rain coming in for the next couple of days, the lights will be off tonight and tomorrow night, Monday December 5th. I'll post an update if the lights will be back on Tuesday night.
I hope everyone is having a great Holiday season. The lights will be on tonight after being off the past 4 days due to rain and snow. I have rebuilt the shows that I accidentally deleted from the computer. Hope everyone enjoys the lights. Lights will be back on at 5:30 tonight.
The rain and snow has stopped. The lights will be on later tonight. I made the mistake of deleting the folder containing all the sequences on the computer. I had a back up for most of them, but some I had made adjustments to and now have to go back and make all the changes. Now to just get everything sequenced back in place.

AuthorI have always loved the Christmas holidays. Now I'm taking it a little further, now that I have learned how to make lights dance to the music. Archives
